- ➤ ACC Animal Services launches the Couch Crashers program on Dec. 19 to find temporary foster homes for dogs until Jan. 2. The program offers all food, supplies and vet support once candidates complete screening and an orientation via the county website. WUGA
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ More than 3,200 students graduated at the UGA Fall commencement held Friday at Stegeman Coliseum in Athens. The undergraduate ceremony began at 10 a.m. & the graduate event started at 2:30 p.m. with key addresses from university leaders. WUGA
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ ACC Government provided winter warming resources as cold weather is expected. The agency listed ongoing shelters from Bigger Vision of Athens, Salvation Army, Athens Area Homeless Shelter, and Family Promise & set up a pop-up warming tent at Lay Park today and tomorrow. WUGA
