- ➤ Georgia punter Brett Thorson won the Ray Guy Award Friday during ESPN’s Home Depot College Football Awards Show — he became only the second Bulldog to earn the honor after posting strong SEC championship stats and preparing for the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 1. The Red & Black
- ➤ Georgia track and cross country programs added 21 athletes from the U.S. and abroad to boost the Bulldogs in multiple events. Local standout James 'JD' Daniel (from Athens) brings state and regional experience to enhance the teams for upcoming meets. The Red & Black
