- ➤ Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services is hosting Deck the Hollow at Memorial Park from Dec. 11 to Dec. 14 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The event features lights, crafts, live shows, concessions and animal encounters, and charges $5 per person (children under 2 free). Classic City News
- ➤ The Boys & Girls Clubs of Athens named Kirk Dominick interim director after CEO Shawonna Coleman resigned. The board said it will begin the search for a permanent CEO soon to keep operations stable for youth and families (its top priority). Athens Banner-Herald

- ➤ The Whataburger at 700 U.S.-29 in Athens will close at midnight on Sunday, Dec. 14 (employee confirmed), while the two other local locations remain open for regular service. Athens Banner-Herald
