- ➤ Gas prices nationwide have dropped below $3 per gallon for the first time in over four years, according to analysts on Dec. 3. Athens stations may soon pass along the lower prices + providing relief during the busy holiday season. FOX 5 Atlanta
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ On Tuesday, the school district held meetings about plans to restore the historic West Broad Street School campus in Athens. The project will upgrade classrooms and labs and create community spaces, honoring its legacy as a center for Black education while supporting ACCA pathways. The Red & Black

- ➤ Georgia football is actively replenishing its roster during the ongoing early signing period, which started on Dec. 3 and will close on Dec. 5, after recruiting rankings dropped when 5-star QB Jared Curtis switched to Vanderbilt. - ➤ Harran Zureikat, a three-star kicker (ranked first by ESPN and second by 247Sports), signed his national letter of intent on Wednesday morning with Georgia, and he could challenge for the starting role as a true freshman. The Red & Black
