- ➤ Athens-Clarke County Animal Services launched Couch Crashers to give shelter dogs a home during Thanksgiving and is inviting families to foster them from today until December 1 (all necessary supplies like food, bedding, and leashes will be provided). Athens-Clarke County
- ➤ The small playground near the concession stand on Lexington Road at Southeast Clarke Park closed on November 20 and will remain closed for about three weeks as it is replaced with new swings and shade umbrellas—offering updated play features for local families. - ➤ Georgia Hunters for the Hungry donates venison from harvested deer to local food banks, community groups and churches to help families in need, and the program is halfway to its goal of processing 140,000 pounds of meat by season's end.
