- ➤ After serving Athens locals for over 40 years, the ADD Drug Post Office in the Five Points district will close on Sept 30, prompting community members—who include UGA students and local business owners—to petition officials to reverse the decision. The Red & Black
- ➤ The Athens Area Community Foundation announced the Resilient Northeast Georgia fund grant recipients for 2025—groups that will work to reduce trauma and care for children and families across several local counties. - ➤ The Oconee Rivers Greenway Commission is accepting applications for three new members who will advise on plans to enhance the river greenway system in Athens-Clarke County.
