- ➤ The U.S. News and World Report released a ranking earlier this week showing North Oconee high school ranked 14 and Oconee County high school ranked 32 among Georgia schools, placing them in the nation’s top 6.3% of 17,901 schools. In Athens, Clarke Central ranked 115 statewide while Cedar Shoals ranked 251, and North Oconee was also recognized as a top STEM school—these rankings underscore both state and local school performance.
