- ➤ Athens-Clarke County’s Leisure Services euthanized DJ, a 22-year-old black bear from Bear Hollow Zoo, yesterday due to severe spinal osteoarthritis and heart disease—veterinary staff provided prolonged palliative care before this difficult decision was made. Athens-Clarke County
- ➤ Athens-Clarke County Middle and High School students can register for the free Grand Slam teen program that starts in June. The program will take place every Friday night at Lay Park from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. in June and July and offers a DJ, games, a glow party, guest speakers, refreshments, and sports. Classic City News
