- ➤ At around midnight on May 16, police reported that a 32-year-old Athens woman, Caitlin Monteverde, was found in a downtown parking lot with a man before she rolled around, tried to undress and made sexual advances when officers arrived+ she was cited for public intoxication and taken to the Clarke County Jail when it was determined she could not safely go home. - ➤ Police went to the Bulldog Inn on Commerce Road on May 19th after a shooting that injured Terrance Latrance Grant and found a stash of meth, drug tools and many weapons—a modified AR-15, a mini Draco AK-47, two pistols and over 100 rounds of ammo—as they continue to investigate the crime. - ➤ Federal authorities continue to search for Athens man Cesar L. Raudales Macias, who is charged with DUI and vehicular homicide for a February 13 crash on Georgia Highway 316 that killed a UGA doctoral student — officials say he fled after receiving treatment for serious injuries and the case remains a U.S. Marshal’s priority.
