A man was found dead early Wednesday morning in the parking lot at Simpson Chiropractic Center on Hawthorne Avenue inside the back of an SUV — the police are investigating his death and an autopsy is pending at the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s crime laboratory.

The Housing and Community Development Department announced it will host the CNC Athens nonprofit training series to help local groups improve board governance, strategic planning, and program management.

The free six-part series will run monthly from June through November and requires registration for each session (limited to 25 participants).

All ACC Gov Leisure Services pools will open Saturday, May 24 with Memorial Day hours from 1:00 to 5:30 p.m. and will run through Sunday, July 27 — admission is $1 per person for all public pools and splash pads.

The SEC baseball tournament held four second-round games on Wednesday in Hoover, Alabama, with Mississippi State, Tennessee, Georgia and Ole Miss playing on the SEC Network, while rain delayed Auburn’s matchup to today at 11:00 a.m. CT.
