  • Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services will host a ribbon cutting for the rebuilt Bishop Park pool on Friday, May 23 at 11:00 a.m. Pool admission is free all day and the first 100 visitors will receive a beach towel and one-day pool pass while the facility features a zero-entry kids zone, updated changing rooms, and new pool furniture.  Classic City News

  • A Clarke County grand jury indicted a 67-year-old Athens man on drug trafficking charges after a Westchester Drive home search by the Northeast Georgia Regional Drug Task Force yielded over 227 grams of drugs and 74 grams of marijuana hidden in items like a lunchbox — his arraignment is scheduled for June 3rd.  Classic City News
