- ➤ UGA held its spring commencement ceremony on Friday, May 8 at Sanford Stadium. Thousands of graduates celebrated with music, speeches, and a moment of silence honoring three students. The Red & Black
- ➤ Some recent UGA graduates remain hopeful amid a challenging job market, with one student applying to anesthesiologist assistant school while another secured a role at a cybersecurity firm. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The USDA announced plans to renovate its Field Services Laboratory in Athens this summer to create at least 140 science jobs. The expanded center, located near College Station Road + close to UGA, will offer research roles in food safety and animal health. Athens Banner-Herald
