- ➤ A 3.5-magnitude earthquake hit south of Knoxville on Saturday morning and was felt in Athens and other parts of north Georgia, the National Weather Service reported. - ➤ Scientists from UGA and Texas A&M are working on new tests and treatments for Chagas disease—which is spread by kissing bugs and can cause severe heart problems—in order to protect both dogs and people.
