- ➤ Walker Park Splash Pad at 200 Trail Creek St will open on weekends from May 10—May 18 and then run seasonal hours from May 24—July 27 with weekend-only service again from August 2—September 1 between 10:00 a.m.—5:30 p.m. as it remains closed Mondays for maintenance, and Howard Park Splash Pad at 291 Henderson Ext will open on May 24 with pool operations running from Memorial Day weekend to the last weekend of July; admission is $1 per person and pool passes cost $20 for an individual or $40 for a family of four. - ➤ The Leisure Services Department will hold community meetings on May 12 at noon and 6 p.m. at Heard Park and Community Center and on May 13 at 6 p.m. at Lay Park's Community Center to update the public on its new comprehensive master plan developed with consultant BerryDunn—attendees may also join virtually.
