  • AthFest Educates announced the full lineup for its 28th annual AthFest Music & Arts Festival, running June 26 to 28 with free outdoor stages and Club Crawl shows at 14 local venues in downtown Athens. The event will benefit K-12 music and arts education.  Flagpole

  • A weekend forecast shows 1-4 inches of rain across Georgia, but the rain will do little to ease a severe drought affecting nearly the entire state.   • Lexy Doherty, an Athens local, announced her bid for Congress to represent the 10th District, emphasizing a living minimum wage, expanded healthcare, and renewable energy for rural areas.
