- ➤ On April 6, UGAPD rescued a UGA employee from a stuck elevator at the Main Library after over an hour of waiting for a technician, + on April 10, a man in a white jumpsuit was arrested after refusing to drop a machete near Newton and Waddell Streets, + and on April 3, nine students failed to return $8,235 worth of lab equipment from the Simulator Center, which was then cataloged by police following missed check-ins. - ➤ The FBI warned that last year, Georgians lost over $420 million in cybercrimes—a 40% increase from the previous year—as fraudsters targeted victims with phishing, extortion, and cryptocurrency scams.
