- ➤ James Williams, 38, from Elberton, was arrested last week on College Avenue after allegedly brandishing a handgun and an AR-15 while telling a black sanitation worker a racial slur during a parking dispute, and police later recovered a 9mm pistol before he posted $1,500 bail. Classic City News
- ➤ Madison Smith, 31, of Hull crashed her Jeep Cherokee into a pickup truck stopped at a red light on Voyles Road on April 2 after drinking wine and looking at her phone—police arrested her for DUI, distracted driving, and following too closely while the pickup truck driver and a passenger said they felt neck and back pain but refused treatment.
