- ➤ Two Classic City students were arrested after a melee at Clarke Central on February 26 when one allegedly kicked a teacher's knee and another punched a student—actions that led to charges and a pending arraignment on April 17. Classic City News
- ➤ Georgia football wide receiver Nitareon 'Nitro' Tuggle was arrested on charges of speeding and reckless driving on Thursday morning and was booked just before 2 a.m. before posting a $26 bond (both charges are misdemeanors) (he was released less than an hour later). The Red & Black
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Students at UGA can join certificate programs to learn focused skills and work with industry experts in areas like music business, sustainability, and cybersecurity. - ➤ The UGA University Council voted on March 19 to shift Tuesday and Thursday class times to other weekdays, extend class periods by five minutes, and set the first period to start at 8:15 a.m.—these changes will go into effect in spring for a one-week shorter semester. The Red & Black
