- ➤ Organizers said 250 cyclists will ride routes from 14 to 82 miles—Tickets to Ride will be held Saturday, March 22 with an Athens start at Dudley Park and additional starting points in Winterville and Union Point. Past president Mark Ralston said the event will raise awareness of the trail’s remaining 26 unfinished miles and let more people know it is free and open to everyone. WUGA
- ➤ Kendall Gates—born March 15 when Athens locked down for COVID-19—is now 5 and getting speech therapy and karate lessons to help him socialize. His mom said she first noticed his speech delay at age 2 and that the therapy has helped him start telling stories. The Red & Black
