- ➤ Ford is recalling 11,000 F-250 and F-350 trucks from 2025 to 2026 for a driveshaft risk that may cause sudden loss of power, and owner letters will be mailed on March 16 so affected vehicles can get a free inspection & repair at a local Ford or Lincoln dealer. Athens Banner-Herald
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Keaton Coletti of UGA was named a Truman Fellow at Sandia National Laboratories, marking the first time a UGA student received this competitive three-year research award. He will lead his own project using funding + mentorship and labs + resources to tackle engineering challenges. The Red & Black
- ➤ The demolition of UGA's Legion Pool began Thursday after the University System of Georgia approved the plan in January; the aging facility will be replaced with hillside seating + four sand volleyball pits and 20 new parking spaces despite objections from local preservation groups. WUGA
- ➤ Santanu Chatterjee, a longtime faculty member since 2001 who previously served as interim dean, is named the 13th dean of UGA’s Terry College of Business and will begin his role on April 1 (after an 18-member advisory committee led the national search). The Red & Black

- ➤ Georgia clocks will spring forward one hour at 2 a.m. Sunday, March 8 to start Daylight Saving Time and fall back on Sunday, Nov. 1 at 2 a.m., and residents should adjust manual clocks accordingly—most devices update automatically. Athens Banner-Herald
