- ➤ CCSD will host its second public update on the West Broad School Complex revitalization project on Thursday, Feb. 19 at 10 a.m. at the District Office (the session will be live streamed on YouTube) where Interim Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Scott will share survey results and next steps. WUGA
- ➤ UGA announced this week that plans for the Legion Pool site are now to include four sand volleyball courts and fewer parking spaces. The university will demolish the nearly 100-year-old pool and begin work in spring (with the complex ready by fall) while Gov. Kemp signed off on the plan. Athens Banner-Herald
- ➤ Clarke County Board of Education approved $1.42 million to purchase 3,000 new chromebooks for all CCSD middle schools on Feb. 12 — covering Burney-Harris-Lyons, Clarke, Coile and Hilsman — and revised the job description for its chief communications and engagement officer. The Red & Black
