CULTURE NEWS

  • Comedian John Mulaney will perform a one-night act (Feb. 14) at the Classic Center Theatre in Athens this weekend. Local listings also feature regional shows for fans seeking more live entertainment.  FOX 5 Atlanta
  • Athens musician T. Hardy Morris released a live session video for his unreleased song My Friend’s Dad today at The Portico—a unique, old church setting chosen by partnering studios for its sound.   • Athens musician Sajaad will release his new seven-track EP Tainted Heart on Valentine’s Day. The album, produced by Ken J. Wong & Nesdy & Kontra, will stream on digital platforms and explore themes of love.  Athens Banner-Herald

  • Lillie Brooks announced her candidacy for the District 7 seat on the Clarke County School District Board of Education on Wednesday in Athens.   • On Wednesday, Feb. 11, the University of Georgia men’s basketball team faced Florida at Stegeman Coliseum in Athens & Florida won 86-66.  The Red & Black
