  • The University of Georgia Indian Cultural Exchange hosted India Night at the Classic Center on Feb. 7, 2026, featuring eight Bollywood dance teams and awarding trophies to the top three performers.  The Red & Black

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Athens Downtown Development Authority and Downtown Athens Parking System will launch the new AIMS mobile pay app this spring to make parking easier. Users can register with their credit card and car info to pay on Dougherty Street before the system expands downtown, and parking decks will continue accepting cash.  The Red & Black

SPORTS NEWS

  • Coach Wes Johnson discussed the 2026 Bulldogs—highlighting new players—in his office on Tuesday, Feb. 3. His talk set out the team’s plans for the season.  Athens Banner-Herald
  • Today, Georgia baseball coach Wes Johnson denied sign-stealing rumors (saying, 'We ain't stole nothing') and noted that the team relied on standard technology while fielding experienced players.
