- ➤ The Bulldogs Original Five Foundation is set to premiere “The First Five: Legacy in Motion,” a documentary that honors University of Georgia's first Black scholarship players with a screening and Q&A at The Gathering Spot in Atlanta on Sunday, Feb. 22 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.; tickets cost $40 for general admission and $100 for VIP. - ➤ The UGA Student Alumni Council hosted a Founders Day celebration at Tate Student Center after a Tuesday event was rescheduled due to weather. Students wrote thank you cards, received Chick-fil-A sandwiches and T-shirts, and learned about study abroad opportunities (celebrating experiential learning). The Red & Black
- ➤ The University of Georgia has announced its spring Signature Lecture Series featuring Nobel and Pulitzer winners among other prominent speakers. The free lectures begin Feb. 9 at Mahler Hall and run through Apr. 23 at various UGA venues. The Red & Black
- ➤ UGA’s online degree programs ranked among the top 20 nationwide, with its online Master’s in Education holding at 18 and its overall online graduation ranking jumping to 7 according to U.S. News & World Report.
