- ➤ The Miss University of Georgia Pageant was held on Saturday, Jan. 23 at the Fine Arts Theater at UGA, where 19 students competed and Sailor Ott was crowned the pageant winner. The Red & Black
- ➤ Lyndon House Arts Center in Athens unveiled Creative Tracks, a display of multimedia art including paintings, drawings, and dioramas by people from Clarke County Jail that show life before incarceration and hopes for reentry. The exhibit (part of the jail’s Reentry Success program) remains open until March 21. WUGA

- ➤ Due to weather safety concerns, the Athens Rock Lobsters have rescheduled their home game originally planned for today. The game will now be played on Sunday, Feb. 1 at 4:50 p.m. at Akins Ford Arena. Classic City News
