- ➤ Street Treats is taking online pickup orders as its North Avenue location closes while it readies a new spot at Georgia Square Mall food court in April; the owners will add DoorDash delivery (soon) to serve loyal customers. Athens Banner-Herald
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Georgia law now allows drivers to use one earbud for phone calls, but using both remains illegal & the rule is meant to help drivers hear outside sounds. Local motorists should follow this regulation to avoid fines. Athens Banner-Herald
- ➤ UGA officials are seeking a demolition permit for the nearly 90-year-old Legion Pool to redevelop it into green space and additional parking; the planning department met briefly on Thursday to review traffic and debris removal details (citizens have voiced concerns about the plan).
