- ➤ Buddhist monks on the Walk for Peace marched through Georgia on New Year's Eve and reunited with Venerable Maha Dam Phommasan in Snellville after his recovery from an earlier accident; the group had advanced from metro Atlanta and planned to pass through Winder, Statham, and Athens.
