About this event

**Clay Your Way: After School Pottery for Tweens & Teens**

Calling all young creatives! Join our **Clay Your Way: After School Pottery** class for ages **10–15**, held every Thursday. This fun, teacher-led pottery studio invites students to explore, experiment, and discover their artistic potential with clay. Rather than following a step-by-step project, participants are encouraged to unleash their imagination and create unique pieces, from functional pottery and handmade gifts to sculptures and decorative items.

Led by Pottery Studio Manager **Lydia Kay Blackburn**, who boasts over 40 years of art teaching experience, students will receive guidance, inspiration, and hands-on support to bring their ideas to life. They will learn handbuilding techniques, explore the ceramic process, tackle creative challenges, and build confidence in their artistic choices.

Each student will purchase a bag of clay and have a designated space in the studio to store their materials and works in progress, allowing for flexibility and creativity at their own pace. Most importantly, **Clay Your Way** provides a **safe, welcoming, creative environment** where young artists can relax, make friends, and enjoy the joy of working with clay. **No experience is necessary—just bring your curiosity, imagination, and a willingness to play!**
