About this event

### Clay Your Way: Pottery for Tweens & Teens

**Calling All Young Creatives!** Join our fun, teacher-led pottery classes for ages **10–15**, where students can explore, experiment, and create with clay in a supportive environment. Led by Pottery Studio Manager **Lydia Kay Blackburn**, who has over 40 years of art teaching experience, this program emphasizes individual creativity rather than step-by-step projects. Young artists are encouraged to develop their own ideas, whether crafting functional pottery, handmade gifts, sculptures, or decorative pieces.

Students can register weekly at their convenience and will need to purchase one bag of clay, which they can store in their designated studio space for ongoing projects. Throughout the classes, they will learn handbuilding techniques, explore the ceramic process, overcome creative challenges, and build confidence in their artistic choices.

Most importantly, **Clay Your Way** provides a safe and welcoming studio atmosphere for students to relax, make friends, and enjoy the joy of creating something uniquely their own. **No prior experience is needed—just bring your curiosity, imagination, and a desire to play with clay!**
